    Aerotek is currently hiring for a Forklift Operator in the Frederick area!

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Forklift Driver, where you will play a crucial role in loading flatbed trucks for shipment in the Vinyl and/or Lumber department. As a Material Handler/Forklift Operator, you will assist in our distribution center by safely loading trucks and unloading railcars.     Responsibilities

    + Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines.

    + Load, unload, and store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.

    + Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).

    + Prepare necessary paperwork for distribution and shipping of products.

    + Perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.

    + Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the working and assigned area.

    + Assist in periodic inventory counts as requested.

    Preferred Experience:

    + 1 year of warehouse experience with operating a forklift.

    + Experience operating a forklift to load/unload trucks.

    + Able to work independently, as well as part of a team.

    + Able to lift up to 75 lbs.

    + Able to read/understand purchase orders and inventory/delivery documentation.

    Schedule / Pay:

    + This is a Monday - Friday shift that is from 10am - 6pm.

    + Pay will be dependent on experience, but will be paying between $18 - $22 per hour.

    Work Environment

    + This environment is distributing/shipping out building/construction materials and products.

    + This will be a position that requires outdoor and indoor forklift operating.

    + Must be comfortable working outside year-around, regardless of weather.

    + This position requires steel-toed shoes.

    + 75% of your time will be on the forklift, but also must be comfortable doing manual labor.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
