    Diesel and Heavy Equipment Mechanic -

    **Location:** Springfield, MO

    **Job Type:** Full-Time

    **Remote:** No, on-site

    **Salary:** $25.00/hour to $33.00/hour based on experience and credentials

    **Schedule:** Monday thru Thursday or Tuesday thru Friday (10-hour shifts)

    **Hours:** 6:00 am to 4:30 pm with potential overtime

    **Required:** ASE certification or equivalent accreditation, preferred.

    Position Summary:

    As a Diesel Mechanic at our facilities you’ll maintain and repair diesel-powered trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment used across our job sites. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our fleet is safe, reliable, and compliant, playing a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on diesel vehicles and facility heavy equipment

    + Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues

    + Ability to conduct DOT inspections to ensure fleet compliance, a plus

    + Maintain clear and accurate service and repair records

    + Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace

    + Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate vehicle readiness

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum 2 years of real-world experience as a diesel mechanic (construction fleet preferred)

    + Working knowledge of diesel engines, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems

    + CDL and/or ASE certifications preferred, but not required

    + Ability to read manuals and interpret schematics

    + Dependable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated

    + Strong problem-solving and communication skills
