Job Title: Mig Welder

Job Description

This position involves mig welding on carbon steel, focusing on the creation of bridge railings, architecturally exposed structural steel, steel tensile membrane structures, bridge joints, structural steel, traffic barriers, and storm water solutions. The role requires proficiency in weld symbols, mig welding, and fitting, specifically with mild steel.

Responsibilities

+ Perform mig welding on carbon steel for a variety of structural and architectural projects.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately.

+ Engage in structural welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks.

+ Utilize tools such as tape measures and schematics for precise work.

+ Occasionally work on Saturdays as required.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in mig welding and fitting.

+ Ability to read and interpret prints and schematics.

+ Experience with structural welding, particularly with carbon steel and mild steel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with aluminum welding is advantageous.

+ Fitting skills are highly desirable, especially the ability to work from complex blueprints or drawings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SHAWNEE MISSION, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
