    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple locations. This role is essential for ensuring the optimal performance of our mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, among others.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment on all systems across multiple facilities.

    + Perform maintenance and monitor repairs to mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and control systems.

    + Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, inventory control, and maintenance of equipment.

    + Clean, inspect, calibrate, and change parts to maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment.

    + Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.

    + Travel between multiple facilities to ensure their proper function.

    + Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.

    + Comply with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.

    + Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.

    + Comply with all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and recognize safety hazards.

    Essential Skills

    + Technical expertise in one craft area such as Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations.

    + Multi-skilled in areas including troubleshooting and repairing HVAC units, building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and control systems.

    + At least 5 years of facilities maintenance experience.

    + EPA 608 Universal Certification.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or equivalent.

    + 5-7 years of experience in maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.

    + Ability to analyze and resolve issues with Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems.

    + Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.

    + EPA 608 Type II Certification.

    + Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.

    + Valid driver's license.

    Work Environment

     

    The position is based in Ashland City, TN. The work environment involves maintaining and repairing commercial building systems, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and traveling between multiple facilities. A valid driver's license is required. The role involves working with a variety of tools and equipment, requiring attention to safety and cleanliness.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, Tennessee.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
