Job Title: Packaging Technician
Job Description
This position is responsible for the proper assembly, labeling, and quality assurance of supplies, in strict accordance with paperwork.
Responsibilities
+ Review paperwork and instructions to understand and perform packaging procedures
+ Clean packaging rooms and machinery as needed, maintaining a clean environment.
+ Perform manual and automated filling and packaging of products independently, approving labeling and checking quality.
+ Operate sealing machine to ensure proper labeling of product
+ Perform final checks of work in-process and finished products, packing goods into appropriately labeled containers/boxes.
Essential Skills
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Attention to detail, as quality mistakes can have significant consequences.
+ Willing and able to work mandatory overtime as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Manufacturing or production experience, or warehouse experience preferred.
+ Candidates with experience in production environments is ideal, but not required. We are interested in entry level candidates as well.
+ Experience in fast food or retail roles can be considered if the candidate demonstrates strong interview performance and proven tenure.

Work Environment
This role operates in the packaging department, that requires PPE. All PPE is provided, except safety shoes and prescription safety glasses.
Shift hours are 1st Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:15 PM (Monday to Friday) and 2nd Shift: 2:45 PM - 1:30 AM (Monday to Thursday). Overtime shifts are typically 6 hours long, with availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays based on production needs. Interaction involves internal contact with production operation employees, engineering, inventory, and quality assurance personnel, with limited external client interaction.

This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.25/hr.
