    Actively Interviewing for Phlebotomist to join IOP position for large diagnostic lab in Savannah, GA!

    Job Description

    Join a nationally renowned diagnostic laboratory as a Phlebotomist I in Savannah, where you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for patient care and the ability to manage various tasks efficiently.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.

    + Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.

    + Enter patient information accurately and promptly into the system.

    + Process billing information and collect payments when necessary.

    + Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.

    + Maintain patient and specimen information logs.

    + Provide superior customer service to all patients.

    + Perform administrative and clerical duties as required.

    + Travel to additional sites when needed.

    Essential Skills

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred.

    + Previous experience as a phlebotomist.

    + Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

    + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

    + Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Skillful and knowledgeable in phlebotomy.

    + Quick and efficient on the computer.

    + Outstanding customer service skills required.

    + Experience in handling blood draws for geriatrics and pediatrics.

    + At least 2 years of experience preferred.

    Work Environment

    The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, in a senior health facility. The candidate will need to be comfortable drawing blood from geriatric patients, standing for long periods, and occasionally squatting. This is a long-term opportunity, with the potential to see up to 20 patients per day. The role involves working independently at an IOP location, handling high-risk OB patients. The environment is fast-paced, with support from five providers, and requires professionalism and efficiency.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, Georgia.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr.
