Job Title: Solar Superintendent

Job Description

This leadership role is crucial for managing crews and overseeing projects in the solar industry. The Solar Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of commercial construction projects while maintaining the company's commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. This position requires extensive travel across California and involves working closely with project managers and field superintendents.

Responsibilities

+ Visit job sites across California to complete audits and training.

+ Provide direction to foremen and assist in managing crews.

+ Ensure job sites are safe and crews adhere to safety training.

+ Conduct training and development for technicians.

+ Manage quality control on site.

+ Coordinate with superintendents and other trades in the field.

+ Build unity and motivation among and between crews.

+ Maintain project schedules and budgets.

+ Review weekly technician timesheets and schedule audits.

+ Produce and submit As Built, RFIs, RFI Logs, Field status reports, and Safety Incident Reports.

+ Participate in performance reviews and disciplinary meetings.

+ Serve as liaison between office and field staff.

+ Resolve problems regarding plans or specifications.

+ Document corrections, changes, and requests, ensuring all parties are informed.

+ Identify and address scope changes or potential risks.

+ Communicate with Project Manager for proper documentation and approvals.

+ Assist in formulating and maintaining construction schedules.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with solar commercial projects.

+ Experience with rooftop projects.

+ OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Certification on equipment is a plus.

+ Electrical certifications are a plus.

+ Must be willing to travel extensively.

Work Environment

The work environment is divided between 60% fieldwork and administrative tasks. Employees have the flexibility to work from home when not in the field. The position includes a company truck and credit card, eliminating the need for reimbursement submissions. Travel expenses, including hotels and meals, are covered. Typical work hours are Monday to Friday, 8-10 hours per day.

This is a traveling position- traveling to projects throughout the central valley and northern California

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
