    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to join our dynamic team. The role involves working primarily in the paint department or other areas within our facility. In the paint department, you will operate machines to bend parts, hang them on paint line hooks for dipping, and rotate positions with team members. You will also be responsible for removing parts from hooks, performing quality checks, packaging, and palletizing them for shipping. Additionally, you may assist laser operators, deburr machined products, and help in the warehouse.

    Responsibilities

    + Work in various manufacturing cells with consistent speed and accuracy.

    + Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.

    + Maintain a clean and safe work area.

    + Perform light assembly tasks, such as installing nuts and bolts on products.

    + Kit parts and hang them for the paint line.

    + Follow safety guidelines and report any concerns to leadership.

    + Adhere to standard work procedures to produce quality products safely.

    + Accurately complete paperwork for all products produced.

    + Operate hand and power tools to assemble products.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in paint manufacturing, paint prep, or general production.

    + Familiarity with machine operation, hand tools, and power tools.

    + Experience in steel manufacturing and assembly line processes.

    + 1+ year within a manufacturing environment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to read a tape measure is a plus.

    + Experience with forklift operation, packaging, inspection, and construction.

    + Knowledge of deburring and assembly line operations.

    Work Environment

     

    Work on the 1st shift from Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 4 pm, with mandatory overtime, totaling 50 hours per week. The smaller shop fosters a close-knit, family-like culture with a small-town vibe, ensuring an organized and supportive work environment.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winterset, Iowa.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
