Materials Associate

Job Description

Join our dynamic Supply Chain team as a Materials Associate, located in Santa Ana/Costa Mesa, CA. This role involves bringing products from the warehouse to production lines, on a day shift schedule with opportunities for overtime. You will be working with a leading defense technology company, committed to revolutionizing military capabilities with cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

+ Process shipping and receiving at the Santa Ana and/or Costa Mesa locations as needed.

+ Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, labeling, loading, and securing product.

+ Ensure material movement across sites is accurately transacted for each move.

+ Ensure orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished products for final distribution.

+ Complete cycle counts and conduct all warehouse activities with inventory accuracy as a top priority.

+ Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.

+ Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signal machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks and loading docks.

+ Expedite the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production needs.

Essential Skills

+ 2+ years as a warehouse associate or equivalent role.

+ 2+ years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and/or other warehouse management and inventory control tools.

+ Familiarity with inventory management including Lot, Serial, and Batch tracking at high mix, high production volumes.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office or equivalent office management tools.

+ Excellent customer service skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

+ Forklift and pallet jack experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Valid driver’s license.

+ Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Costa Mesa, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
