Job Title: Shop Welder

Job Description

Join our team as a Shop Welder, working from 6 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. In this role, you will weld and assemble pieces of a structural steel building in a shop setting. Beyond welding, you will also engage in tasks such as drilling and assembling.

Responsibilities

+ Weld and assemble structural steel components for building projects.

+ Perform tasks outside of welding, including drilling and assembling.

+ Ensure accurate fabrication and compliance with design specifications.

+ Interpret welding symbols, dimensions, and joint types.

+ Perform shop work involving concrete, general labor, carpentry, and reading blueprints.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in MIG welding on steel structures.

+ Understanding of wire feed speed, voltage settings, and shielding gases.

+ Ability to interpret welding symbols, dimensions, and joint types.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Variety of welding skill levels considered, with focus on cultural fit.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Joseph, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
