    Job Title: Welder Helper

    Job Description

    Assist production workers by performing miscellaneous tasks such as supplying or holding materials or tools, cleaning work area, operating and maintaining equipment, and performing yard duties as decided.

    Responsibilities

    + Lift raw materials and finished products manually or using hoists or forklifts.

    + Transfer finished products, raw materials, tools, or equipment between storage and work areas of plants and warehouses by hand or using hand trucks or powered lift trucks.

    + Separate products according to weight, grade, size, or composition of materials used to produce them.

    + Operate machinery used in the fabrication process such as saws, punches, and shears, or assist machine operators.

    + Grind welds and chip weld splatter.

    + Start machines or equipment to begin production processes.

    + Perform minor repairs to machines, such as replacing damaged or worn parts.

    + Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.

    + Place or tag identification on parts.

    + Manage raw material inventory.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with fabrication and welding techniques including flux core, MIG, and blueprint reading.

    + Ability to use a tape measure accurately.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Welding school experience is a huge plus.

    + 2+ years of general production experience.

    + Welding knowledge is a huge plus.

    The work environment is a non-climate-controlled shop setting, providing exposure to various machinery and tools essential for fabrication processes.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleburne, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
