    Job Title: Iron Worker

    Job Description

    Join our team to assemble and erect pre-engineered metal buildings according to blueprints and specifications. You will install metal siding, roofing panels, insulation, doors, and utilize hand and power tools to cut, shape, and fasten metal components. This role requires inspecting and repairing damaged structural components, ensuring all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble and erect pre-engineered metal buildings according to blueprints and specifications.

    + Install metal siding, roofing panels, insulation, doors, and utilize hand and power tools.

    + Inspect and repair damaged structural components.

    + Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations.

    + Operate forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment as needed.

    + Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time.

    + Maintain a clean and organized worksite.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-5 years' experience in pre-engineered metal building or ironworking.

    + Ability to wear tool belt, use spud wrench, bullpens, suspenders.

    + Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.

    + Proficient in the use of construction tools and equipment.

    + Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards.

    + Physical stamina and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Valid driver’s license preferred.

    + Ability to hang iron, throw sheets/roofing, and perform general carpentry/concrete.

    + Experience in any skilled construction trade/equipment operating.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a variety of commercial buildings such as churches, banks, manufacturing centers, and trucking terminals. The job requires reporting to the project site in St. Joe at 6 AM until September, when the start time will change to 7 AM. This role involves working in outdoor environments, often at heights, and in various weather conditions.

    This is a Contract position based out of Saint Joseph, Missouri.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
