Contract To Hire: 6 Months

Job Description

This role is responsible for machining friction surfaces for clutches and brake magnets and rotors. The candidate will inspect parts after they are machined, perform general assembly, accurately set up sheets, read blueprints, cut semi-finished parts, and measure parts for accuracy. Experience using calipers and micrometers is required.

Responsibilities

+ Machine friction surfaces for clutches and brake magnets and rotors.

+ Inspect parts post-machining to ensure quality standards.

+ Perform general assembly tasks.

+ Accurately set up sheets and read blueprints.

+ Cut semi-finished parts and measure them for accuracy.

+ Use calipers and micrometers effectively.

Essential Skills

+ Experience with calipers and micrometers.

+ Proficiency in machine operation and general assembly.

+ Ability to read blueprints and use hand and power tools.

+ Skill in performing visual inspections and completing documentation.

+ Basic math skills.

+ Ability to lift 50 pounds.

+ Experience with blueprints and parts inspection.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean machining area connected to the manufacturing floor and warehouse. It houses several CNC machines and other equipment in a compact space. While the atmosphere is laid back, it can be loud when machines are operating.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shakopee, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
