• Site Maintenance Manager

    Position Summary

    Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance organization across Amazon’s North American Fulfillment Network. This role provides strategic direction, operational oversight, and leadership to site-based Maintenance Managers and Area Maintenance Managers, driving reliability, safety, and innovation in maintenance practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Leadership & Team Development**

    + Mentor and manage Maintenance Managers and Area Maintenance Managers across multiple sites.

    + Recruit, interview, and hire top-tier talent to build a world-class maintenance team.

    + Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

    + **Strategic Planning & Execution**

    + Develop and implement business plans for the Maintenance Department aligned with network goals.

    + Create and execute reliability strategies to maximize facility uptime and operational efficiency.

    + Provide senior leadership with data-driven insights on equipment lifecycle and ROI.

    + **Operational Excellence**

    + Standardize and document maintenance best practices across the network.

    + Drive innovation in work methods, equipment commissioning, and process improvement.

    + Monitor and enforce safe work practices and training compliance.

    + **Financial & Vendor Management**

    + Oversee budget planning, capital expenditures, and cost control initiatives.

    + Manage vendor relationships and leverage Amazon’s scale for cost efficiencies.

    + Develop and manage contracts, RFPs, purchase orders, and invoicing.

    + **Cross-Functional Collaboration**

    + Provide Fulfillment Center General Managers with visibility into maintenance operations.

    + Collaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teams to align goals and initiatives.

    + Lead change management efforts across multiple site environments.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree required.

    + 10+ years of experience managing large, complex facilities organizations.

    + 7+ years in senior leadership roles with direct oversight of 80+ employees, including salaried staff.

    + Proven success in multi-site maintenance operations and team performance management.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + MBA or Master’s degree.

    + Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.

    + Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) and integrated systems.

    + Strong statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making skills.

    + Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TOC, ergonomic design, and labor productivity analysis.

    + Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project, and SQL.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
