    Job Title: Environmental Superintendent

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Environmental Superintendent to oversee and manage environmental projects with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role involves daily supervision of field activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and guiding teams in executing tasks such as excavating, equipment inspections, and data collection.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct daily safety tailgate meetings and define scope of work for the day.

    + Assign tasks to team members including digging, excavating, and equipment operation.

    + Perform equipment inspections and take daily field notes.

    + Manage equipment rental needs and vendor interactions.

    + Actively participate in fieldwork and operations, including potentially operating equipment.

    + Utilize Oracle for managing expense reports and salaries.

    + Maintain meticulous records and track project progress.

    + Communicate effectively with team members in the field.

    Essential Skills

    + OSHA 40 certification and HAZWOPER certification.

    + Minimum of 5 years experience in environmental, remediation, or underground/heavy civil work.

    + Experience with hazardous waste and heavy equipment operation.

    + Experience working with radioactive materials.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Traveling Superintendent experience, with willingness to travel across the West Coast and nationally.

    + Possession of REAL ID, TWIC, or Passport for access to military bases.

    + Proficiency in operating skid steers, backhoes, dump trucks, and water trucks.

    + Clean driving record with 2 points or less.

    + CPR and asbestos or lead training is advantageous.

    + Confined space supervisory role experience.

    + OSHA 30-hour certification is a plus.

    + Construction Quality Management (CQM) training.

    Work Environment

     

    The role involves working on various job sites, including those with radioactive materials. Expect travel throughout the West Coast and occasionally nationally. Projects range from $500k to $10m, managing crew sizes of 4 to 15. Superintendents are placed on projects that align with their strengths.

    The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
