Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Supervisor/Manager to oversee payroll operations for a large and diverse workforce in a hospitality setting. This contract position is based in Los Angeles, California, and requires someone with strong attention to detail who can ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The role involves collaborating across departments and managing complex payroll systems to support the organization’s financial objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly and weekly payroll for over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and other employee compensation in compliance with regulations.

• Manage payroll adjustments, corrections, and garnishments while maintaining confidentiality.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including timely tax payments and filings.

• Generate detailed payroll reports and prepare year-end tax documents such as W-2s and 1099s.

• Maintain and optimize payroll systems, databases, and employee records.

• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and provide training on payroll procedures to department managers.

• Collaborate with the Finance team to support budget planning and monitor labor costs.

• Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with financial audits.

• Implement improvements to payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in payroll management, preferably with large-scale payroll systems.

• Proficiency in full-cycle payroll processes, including multi-state payroll operations.

• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.

• Strong knowledge of wage laws, tax regulations, and compliance standards.

• Familiarity with payroll practices specific to the hospitality industry, including shift differentials.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage complex payroll systems.

• Ability to handle sensitive payroll data with integrity and confidentiality.
