    We are a dynamic and growing company based in San Mateo, CA, looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the financial health of our organization.     Position Summary:

    The Full Charge Bookkeeper will be responsible for handling all aspects of day-to-day accounting, including general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and monthly financial statements. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance.

    + Process and record accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

    + Perform bank and credit card reconciliations monthly.

    + Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.

    + Reconcile sub-ledgers to general ledger account balances.

    + Oversee payroll processing and related tax filings (in coordination with payroll provider).

    + Assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.

    + Prepare and maintain supporting schedules for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, etc.

    + Support external CPA with documentation for annual audits and tax preparation.

    + Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.

    + Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.

    + Assist with special projects or process improvement initiatives as needed.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or accounting experience.

    + Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar accounting software.

    + Strong understanding of GAAP and full-cycle accounting.

    + Payroll processing experience preferred (ADP, Gusto, or similar systems).

    + High proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Excellent organizational and time management skills.

    + Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    + Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, but not required.

    + Relevant certifications (e.g., Bookkeeping Certificate, CPA, or QuickBooks ProAdvisor) are a plus.
