Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in New York, NY. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the firm's leadership to deliver high-quality tax services to individuals and businesses. This position requires strong technical skills and attention to detail, ensuring all tax filings are accurate and compliant.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual and corporate tax returns with precision and efficiency.

• Handle 1099 and W-2 forms, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

• Provide thorough support to clients by addressing tax-related inquiries and concerns.

• Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to streamline preparation and filing processes.

• Conduct thorough reviews of tax returns for compliance and accuracy.

• Generate and analyze spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel to support tax calculations.

• Assist with tax planning strategies to optimize client outcomes.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax regulations and industry standards.

• Collaborate with the firm’s leadership to ensure seamless operations during the tax season. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation, including individual and corporate returns.

• Proficiency in Lacerte Tax Software is highly preferred.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing data.

• Comprehensive understanding of tax forms, including 1099s and W-2s.

• Ability to prepare tax returns from start to finish independently.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.

• Familiarity with current tax laws and regulations.
