As a Land Agent in California, you are responsible for reviewing project drawings and determining the required land rights needed for infrastructure projects across California. The candidate will work with the team to ensure that all land acquisition documents are prepared to execute the project.

Responsibilities/ Duties:

* Facility relocation support

* Encroachment abatement

* Determination of Land Rights for company facilities

* Abating unauthorized uses of company properties

* Review right-of-entries, easements, licenses, leases, permits

* Search and understand vesting deeds

* Read and understand property legal descriptions

* Read and understand recorded maps

* Read and understand base maps

* Read and understand construction drawings

* Determine and understand differences between easement, right-of-entry, TCE, PUE, appurtenant right, franchise right

* Understand difference between relocation and modification agreements and determine when to use each

* Facility line reviews

* Construction drawing design reviews

* Attend project meetings

* Coordinate and work well with land planners, engineers, land surveyors, and project managers

Qualifications:

* Bachelor of Science Degree

* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in land management or related land profession

* Must be proficient with MS Office Word and Outlook, Adobe PDF and Google Earth.

* Also, helpful if experienced working in SAP, Salesforce, and ProjectWise.

* Must be proficient working with design drawings, survey topo and boundary data, base maps, and right of way maps.

* Must be competent in reviewing and understanding legal descriptions and conducting land survey research.
