Summary You will serve as a Security Assistant in the Security Management Office of RECRUIT TRAINING COMMAND. Responsibilities You will provide recommendations and create interim clearances. You will maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures. You will maintain security records and databases as required for students, staff and civilians. You will screen incoming mail. You will utilize multiple software programs such as word, excel and PowerPoint. You will communicate with customers both in writing and verbally. You will gather information and provide detailed reports to the Security Manager. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing knowledge of security concepts, principles, and practices in performing duties associated with background investigations for all personnel; 2) Completing validation of eligibility in security systems; 3) Validating and submitting electronic fingerprints and demographics; 4) Preparing a various range of nonrecurring correspondence via verbal briefs, written instructions, reports and memos; 5) Identifying and correcting administrative in reference to security documentation or access permissions; and 6) Developing and maintaining various trackers and reports in accordance to applicable policies and regulations. GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing knowledge of security concepts, principles, and practices in performing duties associated with background investigations for all personnel; 2) Completing validation of eligibility in security systems; 3) Validating and submitting electronic fingerprints and demographics; and 4) Preparing a various range of nonrecurring correspondence via verbal briefs, written instructions, reports and memos.
