The Surgical Oncology and Hepatobiliary Advanced Practice Providers are integral to the Samuel Oschin Cancer Center. Our practice involves evaluating, treating, and monitoring a variety of cancer diagnoses or potential cancer diagnoses, in addition to benign diseases of the liver and pancreas. Summary of Essential Duties:

+ Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver flawless care to patients in the Cancer Center.

+ Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretations.

+ Develop personalized treatment plans and effectively communicate them to patients and their families.

+ Monitor patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction.

+ Actively participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives to advance patient outcomes.

+ Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.

Qualifications

Education:

+ Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.

+ MSN required.

License/Certification:

+ Current, unrestricted State of California Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner and Furnishing License required

+ National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner required.

+ Current DEA license.

+ BLS Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

+ ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification preferred

Experience:

+ A minimum of one year of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner. Oncology experience, Surgical Oncology Experience, or GI oncology experience preferred.
