Sr. Cost Accountant
The Sr. Cost Accountant will be responsible for handling 606 costing, and working with Senior leaders on overall budgeting and reforecasting. They will also be responsible for the following task:
+ Lead business process enhancement initiative for automated true costing and inventory valuation.
+ Support Materials leadership by developing variance reports and driving inventory accuracy.
+ Assist Inventory Control Team by driving down inventory levels to optimal amounts.
+ Support Operations leadership by enhancing labor valuation to aid in productivity reporting
+ Assist work center managers with actual operational spending compared with both budget and forecast.
+ Support effort to develop annual operating plans for cost of sales and inventory levels.
+ Assist with tracking of material cost take out and manufacturing productivity tasks and exercises.
+ Support comprehensive tracking of material and other cost inflation compared with prior actual.
+ Make/Buy analysis.
+ Assist with 606 calculations and prepare supporting schedules.
+ Support audit requests from both internal and external audit to ensure all deadlines are achieved.
+ Ad hoc analysis.
+ Performs other duties as assigned or required by the position.

+ Demonstrated experience in cost accounting and/or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
+ Demonstrated Leadership
+ Interaction at all levels of an organization
+ Proven communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Understanding of MRP II systems
+ Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
+ Familiarity with entire Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
+ Ability to reason and strategize
+ Strong ability to communicate with proper grammar in English
+ Mathematical skills, as appropriate to financial modeling (basic algebra, and arithmetic)
+ Certificates, licenses, registrations strongly desired, but not a requirement: CPA, MBA and/or CMA
+ Duties typically require extended periods of sitting and computer work.
+ Must be able to communicate effectively
Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.
+ Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution
+ MBA a plus
+ 5+ years' experience in cost accounting and/or financial analysis in a manufacturing environment.
