Job Description:
We are currently searching for a qualified Industrial Electrician to work in The CVS Chemung Distribution Center. This position is responsible for repairs and maintenance of the electrical, pneumatic and mechanical/technical aspects of the building, machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities:
+ Inspects equipment and diagnoses trouble or malfunctions
+ Work with sensors, VFDs, circuit boards, relays, limit switches, flow switches, trouble shoot motors & conveyors, PLC’s
+ Perform Preventative Maintenance as instructed on all equipment/machinery/facility
+ Works from blueprints, schematic drawings, sketches or layouts
+ Works with manufacturer technical support departments to troubleshoot system failures
+ Selects appropriate materials and operates equipment to complete work, including electrical hand tools and voltage or ampere measuring devices
Paints structures, performs masonry work, repairs plumbing fixtures and woodwork

-Repairs, maintains, and installs minor and major electrical systems and fixtures
-Moves, installs and adjusts fixtures, motors and other electrical / mechanical equipment
-Measures, cuts, bonds, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit
-Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads
-Tests electrical equipment for safety
-Perform preventative maintenance service to machinery and equipment
-Performs other duties as assigned
We are currently searching for a qualified Industrial Electrician to work in The CVS Chemung Distribution Center. This position is responsible for repairs and maintenance both electrical and mechanical/technical aspects of the building, machinery and equipment.
+ Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors and programmable controllers.
+ Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment
+ Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables
+ malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Maintenance Machine Repairer and Maintenance Tool Maker to diagnose malfunction
+ Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices.
+ Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors
+ Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings
+ Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machine and equipment
+ Other duties may be assigned
+ Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as AC/DC and servomotors, pneumatic components, hydraulic components, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment.• May perform a variety of electrical/mechanical tests to determine exact cause of issue• Performs necessary maintenance to the equipment and machinery to repair or replace the defective parts• Perform adjustments and calibration procedures on various forms of process equipment• Perform Preventative Maintenance as instructed on all equipment/machinery/facility• Make necessary electrical installations and/or repairs• Works with each department providing necessary support to ensure day-to-day maintenance issues are resolved• Maintain a written or electronic log of any highlights occurring during shift coverage.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$18.50 - $31.72
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
