    Job Overview

     

    The Quality Specialist at Systems Control works within our production setting and is responsible for monitoring and measuring production activities and process adherence in compliance with the requirements of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System. This is an onsite position in Iron Mountain, MI.

    A Day In The Life

    + Gather production and quality data to create and monitor quality-related metrics and KPIs

    + Create NCNs and support disposition of Nonconforming products

    + Lead and support the corrective action process

    + Lead and participate in problem-solving investigations in response to internal or external nonconformances

    + Document standard work in method sheets, procedures, or work instructions

    + Create and circulate quality alerts and quality plans

    + Conduct internal process and product audits

     

    What will help you thrive in this role?

     

    + Associate’s degree in an Engineering-related field, or equivalent work experience

    + Min. 5 years experience working in a manufacturing environment, with preference to metal fabrication or electrical equipment manufacturing

    + Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing and Problem-Solving techniques

    + ISO 9001 experience; quality auditing certification a plus

    + Ability to read and understand manufacturing prints and electrical drawings

    + Works Independently to achieve tasks assigned

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Demonstrated problem solving skills

    + Excellent organizational skills

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office software products
