The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The Housekeeping Worker cleans and supplies Operating Rooms, sub-sterile areas, ancillary areas, and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with hospital objectives.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

+ Hospital housekeeping experience preferred

+ Floor care experience preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

+ Rotating weekends and holidays

+ Per Diem

Essential Functions:

+ Clean and disinfect patient’s rooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the facility in a timely fashion

+ Cleaning duties will include trash removal and disposal, sweeping, mopping, and other duties assigned according to hospital policies and procedures

+ Must understand standard precautions and removal of medical waste, hazardous waste, and pharmaceutical waste

+ Ability to clean surgical equipment, surgical invasive areas, isolation areas and of off-site campus areas depending on shift

+ Must be able to work independently

+ Maintain adequate stock of supplies and chemicals

+ Lift, pull, push up to 50 lbs.

+ Prefer an understanding of following Joint Commission and DOH inspections
