Job Description
We are looking for a **Senior Data Engineer** for a **full-time, salaried** opportunity that is **hybrid** in **Wilmington, DE** . The selected candidate will have a deep experience with data warehousing, Oracle databases, and retrieving/manipulating the housed data using ETL processing and complex SQL. The candidate should have a proven track record of building Data Marts following the Inmon data warehousing principles. The candidate should be able to quickly come up to speed on a complex database model, a database star schema architecture, and immediately contribute to building Data Marts, development and/or support of complex SQL needs, business-requested reporting, extracts, loads, stored procedures, interfaces, and ETL work
What You’ll Do
+ Engineer and build Data Mart
+ Create, maintain, and tune complex SQL scripts
+ Create and maintain existing SQL based custom reports
+ Maintain complex data models
+ Create and maintain data interfaces (scripted ETL) between our on-premise Oracle environment and MS SQL Server on the Azure based platform
+ Build and maintain Oracle Data Marts and associated ETL processes. Ability to hard code ETL in native SQL
+ Utilize advanced experience in Oracle SQL Loader to load data from files into Oracle databases
+ Import / Export data from SQL Server/Oracle XML and CLOB Queries and convert data to standard Oracle tables
+ Perform XML queries and build XML to Relational data models and ETL
What You’ll Need
Required:
+ 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer
+ BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject
+ In-depth working knowledge with Inmon data warehousing principles and business intelligence data architecture
+ In-depth familiarity with Data Modeling Normal Forms, Diagramming, Fact and Dimension modeling, Inmon concepts
+ Basic level of Oracle knowledge required - database files, table spaces and performance challenges specific to data warehousing
+ Extensive experience in all aspects of Oracle SQL programming and query manipulation
+ Experience working with MS SQL Server databases
+ Extensive experience working with large sets of data and resolving data[1]oriented issues
+ Proficient in both MS Word and Excel. Ability to produce presentation level documents in MS Word, and pivot tables presentations in Excel
+ Extensive experience with data profiling and data quality assurance. This includes the understanding of creating an audit trail for peer review of work completed
+ Industry experiences supporting accounting a must. Proven track record of reconciliations and audit
+ Extensive experience in tuning queries for optimal performance
+ Ability to work directly with business users to quickly translate business reporting requests/requirements and produce a work product that has been vetted for quality and meets requirements as stated
+ Professional demeanor with strong communication skills, both written and oral
+ Ability to communicate easily with business partners and technical team members
+ Ability to defend data analysis work to both technical and business individuals
+ Experience in MS SSIS
+ Understanding of data conformity for reporting, ability to identify and create solutions for data conformity traps
+ Good time-management skills
+ Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on team’s success
+ BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject

+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
The pay range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 annually (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role receive paid time off and may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
