About the Role:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to patients within the healthcare setting in Hudson, HUDSO. This position is primarily responsible for assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. The CNA works closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to monitor patient conditions and report any changes promptly. By providing essential support in hygiene, mobility, and nutrition, the CNA contributes significantly to the overall well-being and recovery of patients. This role demands a strong commitment to patient-centered care, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification recognized by the state of New York.
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Basic knowledge of patient care and safety procedures.
+ Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
+ Physical capability to perform duties including lifting, standing for extended periods, and assisting patients.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Previous experience working as a CNA in a healthcare facility.
+ CPR and First Aid certification.
+ Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Additional training or coursework in geriatric or long-term care.
Responsibilities:
+ Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
+ Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
+ Provide mobility assistance, including helping patients move safely and using medical equipment as needed.
+ Observe patients’ physical and emotional conditions and report any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
+ Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
+ Support nursing staff with medical procedures and documentation as required.
+ Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.

Openings:
Limited part-time - every other weekend - 1 opening.
Part-time - 3 shifts each week - every other weekend - 2 openings.
