    Overview

     

    The Vitamin Shoppe is seeking a **strategic, business-savvy Corporate HR Manager (hybird)** to serve as a trusted partner to our Corporate leaders and Health Enthusiasts. This role plays a critical part in ensuring HR practices are not only compliant and people-centric, but also tightly aligned with our strategic priorities.

     

    Reporting to the Sr. Director of HR, this role supports day-to-day HR needs while also serving as an advisor to the business—ensuring we have the right talent, organizational structure, and employee experience in place to fuel execution of our long-term strategy. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in HR, a deep understanding of how to connect people initiatives to business outcomes, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

    Responsibilities

    Strategic HR Support

    + Serve as a thought partner to business leaders, aligning HR strategies and resources with departmental and enterprise-wide objectives.

    + Translate business needs into HR solutions by supporting talent planning, organizational changes, and workforce engagement.

    + Partner with leaders to activate Culture Keeper initiatives and employee experience programs that promote connection, inclusion, and performance.

    + Continuously assess HR programs and services for opportunities to improve efficiency, impact, and alignment with The Vitamin Shoppe’s strategic goals.

    Employee Relations & Performance Management

    + Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance on performance concerns, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.

    + Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and deliver insights to drive engagement and retention strategies.

    + Support leaders in navigating performance conversations, goal setting, and development plans that align with broader business goals.

    + Partner with Legal on complex employee relations issues and ensure HR practices are applied fairly and consistently.

    + Proactively escalate high-risk matters to the Sr. Director of HR and contribute to resolution strategies.

    Benefits & Leave Administration

    + Collaborate with Total Rewards and Payroll to support employees through benefit programs, leave administration (FMLA, STD, workers’ comp), and payroll-related needs.

    + Ensure employees understand and can access available support programs in moments that matter.

    Compliance & Policy Management

    + Maintain current knowledge of employment laws and proactively mitigate risk through consistent application of policies and practices.

    + Support ongoing review and refinement of HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.

    + Uphold accurate and confidential documentation, including organizational charts, job descriptions, and employee files.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

    + 5–8 years of progressive HR experience in a corporate or multi-site environment.

    + Demonstrated ability to connect HR strategies with business objectives.

    + Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance standards.

    + HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR) strongly preferred.

    + Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner at all levels of the organization.

    + High level of discretion in managing sensitive and confidential information.

    + Well-organized, resourceful, and capable of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP).

    Compensation

     

    The salary for this position is based on many factors such as role requirements, skill set, years of experience and other organizational needs. The estimated range is $85,000 - $100,000 per year.
