Job Description:

For more than 150 years, Vulcan has been recognized by chefs and operators throughout the world for its top-quality, energy efficient commercial cooking equipment. Our equipment is found in busy kitchens nationwide; target segments include large chain restaurants, emerging/regional chains, independent restaurants, K-12 schools, grocery and hotels/recreation.

Scope

This position helps with supporting the accounting requirements of our Range, Oven, and Heated Holding departments that are based out of our Baltimore, MD Plant.

Responsibilities

+ Assist with the monthly financial reporting needs of our Baltimore based Business units

+ Processes and reviews system inventory backflush transactions

+ Assists with processing our Accounts Payable transactions

+ Analyze and post weekly Concur transactions to the GL

+ Back-up for payment processing for checks, wires/ACH

+ Calculates and enters monthly journal entries, and reconciles balance sheet accounts

+ Assists with our physical inventory, and cost roll processes at the Baltimore plant

+ Assists with reviewing and uploading vendor price changes

+ Assists with monthly inflation tracking

+ Perform month-end closing procedures and reporting

+ Engage in assigned projects focusing on continuous improvement by applying key 80/20, PLS, and USa principles and techniques. Make process improvement efficiency recommendations and drive the use of the ITW toolbox

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration with an emphasis in Accounting required

+ Minimum 1-3 year accounting experience in related field, audit experience a plus

+ High level of accuracy and attention to detail

+ Excellent data entry, organizational, and problem-solving skills

+ Capable of working independently and managing to deadlines

+ Able to be diversified, to multi-task, and to prioritize

+ Must be proficient in MS Office Suite with highly advanced Excel skills including the ability to create and edit pivot tables, charts and graphs.

+ Knowledge of US GAAP reporting and experience in their application

Work Environment

+ Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for duration of 8 hours

+ In office, manufacturing plant

+ Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, some flexibility in set hours allowable

Compensation Information:

$65,120-85,000
