The Product Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and lifecycle management of avionics and aviation product lines at L2 Aviation. This role requires a strong understanding of avionics systems, regulatory environments, and customer needs in both business and commercial aviation. The Product Manager will collaborate with engineering, sales, operations, and executive leadership to ensure product success from concept through production, certification, and market adoption. Primary Responsibilities: Develop and execute product roadmaps for avionics and aviation products aligned with company strategy. Lead requirements gathering, competitive analysis, and customer feedback integration into product plans. Serve as the primary business owner for assigned products, balancing technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and commercial viability. Partner with engineering teams to translate customer needs into product requirements and certification deliverables. Manage product lifecycle, including new product introduction, STC/PMA certifications, production transitions, and end-of-life planning. Support marketing and sales with technical positioning, product launch activities, and customer presentations. Work closely with operations and supply chain to ensure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. Monitor product performance and financial metrics to recommend enhancements or corrective actions. Act as subject matter expert for avionics/aviation products in customer and regulatory discussions. Other duties as may be assigned. Required: Strong knowledge of aviation and avionics products, FAA certification requirements, and aerospace market dynamics. Ability to create and manage product roadmaps and lifecycle strategies. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and project management skills. Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving abilities. Effective communicator with ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems. Must pass 10-year background verification, pre-employment drug testing, and submit to company's Drug and Alcohol Abuse Program. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, or related field. Direct experience with avionics STC/PMA programs, supplemental product certifications, or OEM/airline product integration. Familiarity with aerospace supply chain management, MRO operations, and aftermarket support. Minimum 7 years of experience in product management, program management, or engineering leadership within aerospace/avionics. Experience with FAA certification, PMA processes, or avionics product development preferred. Proven record of successful product launches and lifecycle management. Must be able to travel (up to 25%) to customers, suppliers, and industry events. Must have a valid passport and driver’s license.
