    Description

    Are you a **licensed School Psychologist** seeking flexibility, autonomy, and purpose? If so, join our team as an **Independent Contractor** providing direct psychological services to students ages 5–21 in Cecil County Public Schools. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with educators while maintaining control over your schedule and workload.

     

    **Location:** Cecil County Public Schools, Maryland

    Compensation:** up to **$90 per hour

    **Employment Type:** Contract (1099)

    **Schedule:** 8:15 am - 3:45 pm or 7:30 am - 3:30 pm, depending on the school.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using standardized assessments, interviews, observations, and FBAs.

    + Deliver clear, professional reports and communicate findings to families and school teams.

    + Collaborate with educators and administrators to design and monitor evidence-based interventions.

    + Provide crisis intervention and participate in student support/emergency response teams.

    + Maintain professional standards and stay current with best practices in school psychology.

    Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions (DESS) is a comprehensive initiative made up of five specialized divisions: the Center for Effective Schools, the Center for Resilient Children, Direct Care Training Resources, the Center for Autism Educational Services, and the Center for Mental Health Services. These divisions offer a range of in-person and virtual services designed to improve academic, behavioral, and emotional outcomes across educational settings.     Qualifications

    + Active **PDE Educational Specialist Certification in School Psychology**

    + Experience working in school settings with diverse student populations.

    + Strong written communication and time management skills.

    + Demonstrates a working knowledge of current research-based professional practices in school psychology and education.

    + Must have a valid driver's license

    + Physical Requirements: Some walking, sitting, and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required
