In
your role as a Compressor Performance Engineer your responsibilities will vary
from day to day, so your days will never be boring! You will be responsible for
the thermo – and aerodynamic design of turbo compressors for service projects
and contracts. In close exchange with experts from various specialist areas,
such as rotor dynamics, layout and control engineering, your work will remain
exciting, as each machine is tailored to the customer. Your team operates on a
global scale, therefore maintaining daily communication is crucial to uphold
high quality standards. In the afternoon, another meeting with colleagues from
the development department is on the agenda.
Creativity
and initiative are not just welcomed, but is required here! Together, you'll
work on machine concepts tailored to customer needs and help to further
optimize revamps and upgrades of single shaft compressors. It is essential to
be adaptable and flexible because addressing issues cannot be anticipated and
calls for the utmost precision in processing and analyzing machine performance
data.

+ Calculation and optimization of machineperformance of single-shaft radial compressors
+ Preparation of documentation according tocustomer contract and project requirements
+ Technical project processing in direct exchangewith the customer
+ Support during commissioning and troubleshooting;Support for sales and development
+ Expert role in the evaluation ofperformance-relevant topics
+ Global coordinated teamwork in constant exchange
WhatYou Bring
+ A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineeringpower engineering / aerospace engineering or a related field is required;Master’s degree is preferred.
+ 5+ years of professional experience with aspecialization in turbomachinery with a focus on applied thermodynamicsand performance calculation; Familiarity with standards and regulationsfor turbo compressors is preferred; Candidates with more experience may beeligible for a more senior role.
+ Technical experience in service engineering,testing and commissioning of turbomachinery is preferred.
+ Solid knowledge in the field of prime movers (gasturbines / steam turbines / electric motors) is required; Knowledge intechnical quality assurance, as well as cost and risk awareness ispreferred.
+ Excellent teamwork and communication skills on aglobal level
+ Proficient MS-Office skills
