    Job Description

    We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to identify and conduct complex analyses of financial impacts stemming from various issues and decisions. This role proposes strategies to maximize financial performance while evaluating impacts on financial structure, profitability, integrity, and competitive position. You will understand financial and accounting systems, perform credit analysis, and solve problems, potentially making recommendations on financing decisions. This role also serves as a mentor and guide to others, handling varied and complex projects.

    Responsibilities

    + Develop and maintain driver-based Excel models for general rate cases, ensuring refreshability and auditability.

    + Prepare filing-ready schedules and exhibits aligned with commission templates, ensuring accuracy through cross-footing and traceability.

    + Create executive-level outputs including PivotTables, charts, and dynamic dashboards with clear assumptions and version control.

    + Reconcile financial results with source systems, document methodologies, and maintain a robust audit trail.

    + Translate accounting and policy positions into quantitative exhibits, drafting regulatory analysis with clear documentation and citations.

    + Lead the development of financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic planning and performance tracking.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Sales, Operations, Marketing, and HR to gather data and deliver financial insights.

    + Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actuals and forecasts, offering recommendations for improvement.

    + Support strategic initiatives through scenario planning, ROI analysis, and investment evaluations.

    + Contribute to a collaborative team environment and mentor junior analysts.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within an FP&A function.

    + Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proven ability to work cross-functionally.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + MBA, CPA, or other relevant graduate degree highly desirable.

    + Experience in regulated utility finance (FERC/USoA, rate cases, clause/true-up filings) preferred.

    + Experience with planning tools such as SAP, S/4Hana, BOBJ, Utilities International (UI) preferred.

    This is a Contract position based out of Juno Beach, Florida.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
