    Banner Olive Branch Senior Center has been a key community services provider in Sun City for over 30 years! Banner Olive Branch has received a national recognition for our innovative senior center programs focusing on addressing “social determinants of health” including food insecurity, loneliness/depression, and other basic non-medical needs that contribute to poor health outcomes in seniors. The Banner Olive Branch Senior Center is receives funding from AZ Area on Aging, United Way, and other community organizations. The center partners with St. Mary’s Food Bank offering daily food pantry and monthly mobile food pantry to residents of Sun City. The Banner Olive Branch Center provided over 100,000 congregate and home delivered meals in 2020!­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­

     

    As a Courier at the Banner Olive Branch Senior Center, you will have the opportunity to provide excellent service which is part of the Home-Delivered Meal Program. The Center delivers hot, nutritious meals to homebound seniors.

     

    The expected hours for this position will be Monday - Friday, 10am-2pm.** **No weekends or holidays!

     

    Banner Staffing Services (BSS) also offers Registry/Per Diem opportunities within Banner Health. Registry/Per Diem positions are utilized as needed within our facilities.     **BSS Registry positions do not have guaranteed hours and no medical benefits package is offered** . BSS requires Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen and background check (includes; employment, criminal and education).

    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position drives a company vehicle to transport mail and packages, pick up materials/donations, and/or make deliveries to and from company facilities, donor locations and/or other businesses within the area.

    CORE FUNCTIONS

    1. Delivers and picks up mail, packages, materials, supplies, health records, test results, specimens, donations and/or other miscellaneous items to and from company facilities, donor sites and/or businesses within the area, as assigned.

    2. Maintains assigned vehicle. Inspects vehicle on a daily basis. Assures that vehicle is kept in good running condition and that scheduled maintenance) has been completed. Maintains accurate log of vehicle runs and all other vehicle activity. Reports all mechanical problems to management.

    3. May assist with transport, copy center, mail services, supply chain or clerical support work.

    4. May be responsible for scheduling and planning driving routes to ensure efficient use of company resources.

    5. This position works under full, but not direct, supervision, and follows defined procedures. Internal customers include all company staff, including volunteers. External customers include mailing and shipping services vendors, donors and/or customers of the company.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Requires reading, writing and mathematical skills.

     

    Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.

     

    Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, accurately enter data, read and interpret maps, and possess demonstrated effective customer service skills.

     

    Employees working at Olive Branch Senior Center must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    May be required to obtain and maintain certification, such as ME Certificate, as required by regulatory agency.

     

    Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
