THE POSITION
Are you looking to kickstart your human resource career ? If so, consider joining the Office of Administration, Position Classification Services as a Human Resource Analyst 1. In this role, you will actively participate in practical training exercises and work assignments where you will develop the skills necessary to deliver Organization Management (OM) services to client agencies. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Human Resource Analyst 1, you will be tasked with determining the most appropriate job classification of filled and vacant positions, evaluating temporary working out-of-classification and change supervisor requests, analyzing agency reorganization requests, and providing position description consultative support and related organization management services. Work involves participating in training-level assignments including reviewing position and organization information, conducting research, interviewing employees and supervisors, as well as preparing detailed analysis reports that include classification and pay determinations. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with supervisors and higher-level analysts to evaluate programs and operations to identify organization management needs, explore options, and deliver solutions to customers.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
+ Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Successful completion of the Human Resource Management Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
+ One year as a Human Resource Assistant 2 or an Equal Opportunity Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
+ One year of paraprofessional analytical experience and a bachelor’s degree;or
+ An equivalent combination of experience and training.
