    Who We Are

The Anseth Group specializes in the development of innovative biomaterials for engineered cell culture and tissue regeneration. Our primary focus is on decoding cell-material interactions and developing systems and techniques to investigate these processes. We influence cellular activity across timescales using engineering concepts and modeling, with targets ranging from molecular to macroscopic. To modulate responses such as proliferation, differentiation, and extracellular matrix deposition, we design well-defined biomaterial niches with programmed mechanics and bioactivity.

Investigations on tailored cell carriers for therapeutic applications, hydrogel-based super-resolution microscopy, and models of homeostasis and pathology are all part of our research. Explore our website and learn more about our lab! Anseth Lab (https://www.colorado.edu/ansethgroup/) .

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

+ Culture and maintain primary murine intestinal stem cells and intestinal organoids.

+ Design and formulate hydrogel based biomaterials for the culture of murine intestinal stem cell derived monolayers on synthetic photoresponsive hydrogels.

+ Investigate the response of intestinal stem cell-derived in vitro cultures to light-initiated alterations of biophysical cues.

+ Collect, curate, and present data at regular lab meetings.

+ Mentor and train lab members on general lab practices.
