Advancement at CU Boulder encourages applications for a Senior Multimedia Producer! This role plays a key part on a highly collaborative marketing and communications team that seeks to increase philanthropic support and engagement. Through partnering with colleagues and experts across the university, the Creative Communications and Services team provides multimedia expertise to projects that are rooted in strategy. We are looking for someone who has a balance of great storytelling and visual design coupled with an ability to see big-picture strategy. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Creative Strategy and Services to lead and assist with the creation of marketing and communications projects from concept through to final production. The designer is responsible for the conceptualization, presentation, adaptation and execution of media production and design solutions that meet marketing and communications strategies and are aligned with the University of Colorado Boulder brand.The ideal candidate will have a keen ability to articulate the reasoning and strategy guiding their work. They will be thoughtful about the potential impact of the work they create and strive to create inclusive and accessible communications. In addition to aligning their creative solutions with the university's mission, they will keep their audience and their interests in mind as a guiding context. They are comfortable designing from scratch as well as responding to established creative direction.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Produce and be responsible for creative solutions from concept to execution, across multiple platforms and formats
+ Visually communicate mission, goals and brand identity across digital channels (websites, social media, email, etc.) and video content (live action, animation, short form social video, GIFs, etc.).
+ Present work and creative rationale to colleagues at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
+ Serve as the Advancement MarComm in-house photographer and videographer by capturing content at events and coordinating/leading shoots for specific marketing initiatives and campaigns.
+ Conceptualize, storyboard, shoot, and edit video content for various platforms including web, social media, and events.
+ Design and produce motion graphics and animations aligned with brand guidelines and central messaging.
+ Capture still photography for use in digital and print marketing materials.
+ Perform editing and post-production tasks including color correction, audio sweetening, media encoding, and archiving.
+ Generate creative concepts and collaborate with the Advancement Marketing and Communications team, including editors, writers, graphic designers, content developers, to contribute to multi-platform and integrated marketing and communication plans.
+ Build video and motion assets for digital channels like email, web and social media.
+ Participate in group critiques in support of consistent and best-in-class creative work.
Project management and supervision
+ Collaborate with various departments and team members to provide professional recommendations for concept, direction, production, etc.
+ Work with outside vendors to meet production timelines.
+ Supervise and mentor a student designer, helping grow their professional skills and establishing a productive workflow of incoming design demands.
Brand management** Help manage Advancement's digital asset management system (DAM), including logging photos and footage, tagging and metadata, uploading new assets as necessary.Coordinate with central marketing and communications (SRC), plus college, school and unit teams regarding consistency of the CU Boulder brand. **Other duties as assigned
+ Stay up to date with industry trends and tools.
+ Complete other design projects assigned by the Sr. Director of Creative Strategy and Services including proposals, gift announcements, impact reports, and digital engagement, etc.
+ Work on the Standard Operating Procedures for the marcom team, ensuring quality and eciency in our work.
+ Represent the marketing and communications team in various meetings and endeavors.
+ Help on-board and train new team members.

+ This role is in a hybrid work situation, working a mix of days on campus and remotely each week.
+ This role may require occasional travel based on business needs.
What We Can Offer
The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 annually. Relocation assistance is available within Advancement guidelines.

What We Require
+ Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience combination of education and experience may substitute.
+ Three years of professional photo/video production and post-production experience that includes:
+ Experience presenting creative rationale to a range of partners.
+ Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including other marketing fields, like writers, digital strategists, videographers and photographers.
+ Software Used: Microsoft Office products, Zoom, Teams, Adobe Creative Suite, (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
What You Will Need
+ Demonstrated proficiency in **Adobe Premiere Pro** and **Adobe After Effects** .
+ Strong portfolio showcasing creative video editing and motion graphic design.
+ Ability to shoot both still photography and video.
+ Solid understanding of storytelling principles, editing styles, pacing, transitions, and sound design.
+ Solid understanding of how marketing strategies drive and inform creative concept development and output.
+ Advanced understanding of design principles, including typography, composition, hierarchy and use of color.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Skilled use of tact, negotiation and working toward effective solutions.
+ Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently, but also actively seek and value feedback.
+ Ability to focus on design details, while also keeping an eye on the high-level strategy.
+ Understanding of email, web and digital capabilities, limitations, and standard processes.
+ Ensure all multimedia content adheres to accessibility standards and reflects the university's commitment to inclusion and excellence.
