Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Adjunct Instructor (Marketing Management) Part-Time position in the Business & Public Service Technology division. This position is located on Atlanta Tech's main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
The ideal candidate will bring real-world experience, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds, including first-generation college students, English language learners, and individuals with varying academic and socioeconomic needs. Under general supervision, will also provide instruction for credited marketing core course syllabus; ensuring the outcomes meet the stated objectives. This is a part-time position, up to twenty-nine (29) hours per week.
Job Duties include, but mat not be limited to, the following:
+ Teach introductory and intermediate marketing courses such as Principles of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Consumer Behavior, and Marketing Strategy
+ Develop and deliver engaging, accessible, and inclusive course content using a variety of instructional methods (in-person, hybrid, or online)
+ Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and career readiness
+ Provide timely feedback, assess student performance, and maintain accurate academic records
+ Collaborate with department faculty and staff to align curriculum with industry standards and workforce needs
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
Competencies:
+ Skill in developing lesson outlines and materials.
+ Knowledge of vocational area of assignment.
+ Skill in presenting subject matter.
+ Skill in administering tests to evaluate progress.
+ Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs.
+ Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with adult learners.
Minimum QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess and demonstrate the following:
+ Master’s degree in marketing or related discipline.
+ Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in marketing or related industry.
+ Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
+ Three (3) years of teaching experience and/or five (5) years of professional industry experience.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
Preferred QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferences may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:
+ Prior teaching experience at the college level.
+ Familiarity with instructional technology and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard)
+ Availability to work during the evenings.
* May be required to teach at other locations and other locations within the community. *
