Compensation and Schedule for the Cardio/Cardiovascular Coder

Cardio/Cardiovascular Coder – Full-time, remote, $26-$31 per hour, Monday to Friday, flexible day schedule within Arizona time zone after training. Work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment!

Required Qualifications of the Cardio/Cardiovascular Coder

- 5+ years of recent E/M coding experience required

- 2+ years of recent E/M cardio/cardiovascular coding experience required

- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required

- Must provide equipment

- High school diploma or GED required

- Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Responsibilities of the Cardio/Cardiovascular Coder

- Work under the close supervision of the Coding Supervisor abstracting coding from medical records to be sent to billing

- Analyze and evaluate data elements from patients’ electronic records and assign applicable procedural and diagnoses coding while following all written coding policies and procedures and all regulatory CMS compliance regulations

- Perform audits, produce analytic reports, and provide education as needed to ensure correct coding and clean claims
