Work you'll do/Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Specialist II to join our project team, specializing in SAP ECC (Suite on HANA) with a focus on SAP BASIS. You will be responsible for understanding requirement, designing, building Functional Specifications, and testing / deployment. The projects are run in a complex SAP environment with heavy volume of transactions.

Configure scenarios in relevant SAP modules. Write Functional Specification / Configuration documents. Responsible for supporting and leading project tasks. Performs analysis and effective diagnosis of clients' issues. Selects the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements. Develops and shares reusable assets that can be readily applied to new client projects. Understands the benefits of using state of the art methods and tools and their application on a particular engagement; contributes to continuous development of methods and tools. May lead a particular work stream, reviewing, and directing the work of more junior staff. Coordinates activities between work streams and identifies changes in scope. Develops solutions to client problems through application of personal experience and methods and tools; validates solutions to subject matter experts

Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management

The Enterprise Operations as a Service Offering addresses our clients' needs for on-going operations of their technology and business process investments through multi-year contracts. We deliver continuous modernization, upgrades, and address incremental business changes as part of our engagements through our 5 key offerings: SAP Operations, Oracle Operations, IT Operations, Supply Chain Operations, Finance Operations.

Required Qualifications

+ 8+ years of SAP HANA/S4 and Basis Administration experience

+ Full life cycle project implementation and configuration experience

+ Experience in SAP Migrations to HANA or S4HANA using latest tools like DMO and SUM

+ Experience Configuring and maintaining SAP Solution Manager & CHARM

+ Experience with Unix scripting, database creations, migrations, system sizing, systems configurations, storage management, database backups, recovery and DR for SAP systems is a plus

+ Experience performing administration of SAP software application products, including SAP Business & Enterprise solutions, ECC, BW, CRM, Portal, Solution Manager and other SAP software solutions. Provide technical support and troubleshooting software application related issues.

+ Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience

+ Ability to live and work in the Chicago, IL area 5 days a week in office

+ Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

+ Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred

+ Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products

+ Can operate independently or with minimum supervision

+ Excellent written and communication skills

+ Ability to deliver technical demonstrations

+ Experience with other programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python) or technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus
