    The Internet Sales Representative – Used Equipment is responsible for driving online sales growth of Warren CAT’s inventory of used equipment. This role involves proactively responding to digital inquiries, developing new online business opportunities, managing listings across multiple platforms, and maintaining excellent customer service throughout the sales process. This position combines inside sales skills, digital marketing knowledge, and equipment expertise to build trusted relationships with customers across local, national, and international markets.

     

    DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    + Respond to all internet-generated leads in a timely, professional, and customer-focused manner.

    + Contact prospective customers through phone, email, chat, and CRM tools to understand their equipment needs and recommend suitable used machines.

    + Build and maintain strong relationships with new and repeat online customers.

    + Prepare and follow up on price quotes, trade appraisals, financing options, and equipment specs.

    + Close sales and ensure smooth coordination with logistics, finance, and service departments.

    + Manage and maintain accurate and compelling listings for used equipment on Warren CAT’s website and third-party platforms (e.g., Facebook, etc.).

    + Upload high-quality images, videos, and specifications for each machine.

    + Work closely with the marketing team to improve search engine visibility and lead conversion.

    + Monitor listing performance and recommend changes to enhance online traffic and engagement.

    + Utilize CRM software to track leads, update customer records, schedule follow-ups, and document interactions.

    + Generate weekly and monthly sales reports to track progress toward goals.

    + Provide feedback on customer trends and inventory needs.

    + Maintain a working knowledge of used CAT equipment and competitive brands.

    + Stay informed about industry trends, market pricing, and inventory levels.

    + Collaborate with the Used Equipment team to match supply with market demand.

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

    + High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 years of related experience and/or training in heavy equipment and/or selling/buying; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills.

    + Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills.

    + Knowledge of Caterpillar equipment and used heavy machinery.

    + Experience with digital marketing, photography, or e-commerce platforms.

    + Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
