Job Title: CNC Machinist

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $49920 annually

Contractor Work Model: Onsite

CNC Machinist Objective

Operate CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers to manufacture precision components according to engineering specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

+ Set up and operate CNC machining equipment including horizontal and vertical machining centers

+ Execute machining operations: turning, boring, drilling, tapping, thread-milling, profiling, and contouring

+ Monitor and adjust cutting parameters, speeds, feeds, and tool offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy

+ Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments

+ Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to complete manufacturing tasks

+ Conduct routine machine maintenance and calibration procedures

+ Maintain statistical process control documentation and quality records

+ Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions

+ Handle material loading/unloading operations safely

Requirements

+ High school diploma plus vocational/technical training or 7+ years machining experience

+ Proficiency with CNC machine tool operations and programming

+ Advanced knowledge of machining processes and cutting tool applications

+ Mathematical competency in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry

+ Blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills

+ Experience with G-code and conversational programming

+ Familiarity with various materials: steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, plastics

+ Physical capability to lift 40 pounds and stand for extended periods

+ Journeyperson certification or NIMS credentials preferred
