    Job Title: Controls Tester

     

    Hybrid: onsite 2-3 days a week

     

    Pay Rate: Open to Both W2 and 1099 options

     

    Position Type: Multiyear Contract

     

    Ideally looking for candidates with 4-6 years of controls testing experience (this is NOT a senior role nor an IT auditor role).

    Role Requirements

    + Looking for a junior-mid level contractor focused on control testing .

    + Role involves executing and documenting control tests — no major decision-making expected.

    + Strong audit and internal controls experience.

    + Not strictly security-focused (though some security knowledge is fine)

    + Public accounting or audit background is relevant (not looking for IT expertise)

    + ServiceNow GRC experience is helpful but not required (team is rebuilding their instance).

    Team & Work

    + Team is building a program around asset-based testing .

    + Work involves ~30 assets per year, with ~30 controls each.

    + Testing focuses on ITGCs (IT General Controls) over assets, in alignment with security standards but from a control-based perspective .

    Frameworks & Tools

    + COSO knowledge is nice to have but not central.

    + NIST and IT frameworks referenced more frequently.

    + General audit & control knowledge, not deep IT or framework specialization.
