Cognizant is a large IT Consulting Firm that leverages modern technologies o transform a variety of business operations. We are seeking an entry-level **Quantitative Investment Solutions Platform Analyst.** The Quantitative Investment Solutions (QIS) Platform is an entrepreneurial, cross-asset team focusing on building best in class ecosystem for supporting and managing QIS business catering to institutional investors from across the world. The team works in close collaboration with Structuring, Sales, Trading and Quants from multiple regions and is based out of Mumbai, Shanghai and New York. Please not that this is a hybrid role (3 days onsite) in **New York City** . Only local candidates will be considered that don't need to relocate.

Role Responsibilities

+ Implement, onboard and maintain the quantitative models for back-testing and daily calculations of strategies, based on strategy documentation and following all the backtesting and modelling best practices and maintaining governance requirements

+ Calculate, reconcile and disseminate daily strategy levels in a timely and an error free manner, manage exceptions and challenges promptly and effectively

+ Build efficient automated controls and operational risk management processes for daily operations and periodically review them for continued efficiency

+ Communicate and collaborate with different internal stakeholders (Structuring, Sales, Trading and Quants) on reconciliation issues, strategy implementation and operational risk controls

+ Collaborate with stakeholders on adhoc projects, client servicing, platform robustness and scalability

+ Ensure adherence to Platform Governance and UBS policies and support execution of those

Required Experience

+ At least a Bachelor's Degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Financial Engineering or equivalent

+ 0-2 years of related experience

+ Understanding of financial markets, asset classes, investment strategies and a desire to develop a career in the Quantitative Strategies field

+ Strong programing skills in Python required, experience with OOPS desired

+ Experience from a similar business, project management, understanding of general risk management, transformation of operational processes through automation etc would be good to have

+ Advanced user of Microsoft Office

+ Ability to communicate clearly and concisely

+ Ability to multitask and work with tight timelines

+ Attention to detail

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 - $90,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
