    Summary This position is located at the United States Mint in Washington, DC in the Financial Directorate. As a Deputy Chief Financial Officer, you will maintain proper stewardship over the United States Mint's assets and ensure the integrity of the United States Mint's financial requirements and procurements. Responsibilities As a Deputy Chief Financial Officer you will: Maintain proper stewardship and control over the United States Mint's assets. Provide oversight and direction in analyzing financial results and outlook assumptions, identify and assess important bottom line contributors in order to achieve financial objectives. Oversee the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program to foster an environment where transparency around risks becomes the cultural norm of the organization and enhance the Mint's ability to achieve strategic and business objectives by identifying its most significant risks and using those risks to inform resource allocation, strategy setting, and performance planning decisions. Requirements Conditions of Employment All employees must wear face masks while on MINT property when required by CDC and Federal guidelines. A probationary or trial period may be required. Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period. A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required. Must successfully complete a background investigation. Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency. Have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer. If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so. Go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I-9. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is 52 weeks of experience at the GS-14 level or equivalent, in either public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: - Experience providing executive direction over day-to-day fiscal operations of a billion-dollar organization; AND - Leading teams to ensure on-time execution of plans; developing and implementing policy programs; and developing, implementing, and tracking performance metrics; AND - Monitoring and evaluating administrative functions, such as: accounting, procurement, facility management; AND - Collecting and organizing financial and budgetary information for reporting, analysis, and execution of strategic and operational plans. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
