    How will you make an impact?

     

    Have knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry, polymer synthesis, and surface modification.

     

    • Assist in raw material second-sourcing projects, including conducting characterization studies and bench builds.

    • Perform characterization studies and analyze organic or inorganic compounds, raw materials, and finished products.

    • Execute bench experiments effectively and develop polymer products and related processes to meet performance specifications.

    • Operate general laboratory instrumentation, including UV-Vis, FTIR, IR, Rotavap, and fluorescence spectrophotometers.

    • Work safely and independently in the lab with minimal supervision, ensuring reproducible procedures and reliable investigation results.

    • Demonstrate strong attention to detail.

    • Apply innovative thinking to solve problems quickly and effectively.

    • Exhibit efficient interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

    • Display excellent reasoning, troubleshooting, and logical thinking abilities.

    • Collaborate as part of a team, sharing data, solving problems, and driving progress.

    • Work independently and contribute as a team member when required.

    • Produce and present original technical materials for both internal and external audiences.

    • Comprehend and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

    • Write standard operating procedures (SOPs) and partner with cross-functional teams to transfer processes to in-house manufacturing partners.

     

    Start Date: This internship is set to begin on either May 11th or June 15th, 2026 for a duration of 10-12 weeks – dependent upon student availability per academic calendars.

     

    Compensation & Relocation: Our undergraduate Research & Development internships offer an hourly rate between $21.50 - $28.75 dependent upon the location you are supporting (aligned to respective cost-of-living guidelines). Additionally, a relocation stipend is offered in the amount of $5,000 if necessary. Student must be located 50+ miles away from the physical location of the internship to be eligible for the relocation stipend.

     

    How will you get here?

     

    Undergraduate student completing an Engineering or Life Sciences-related degree between December 2026 and June 2027.

     

    0 years of work experience required; previous related internships preferred.

     

    Consistent track record of results demonstrating integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.

     

    Energized through championing change, driven in getting results, and savvy in navigating ambiguity.

     

    Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
