    Minimum qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

    + 10 years of experience in program management.

    + 10 years of networking experience.

    + 7 years of experience in leadership roles with direct reports.

    Preferred qualifications:

    + 10 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects in matrixed environments.

    + Experience in network planning, automation, process improvements, capacity planning strategies, and business process transformation.

    + Experience managing capital forecasts including working with executives on spending/forecasting strategies.

    + Ability to define metrics and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) that drive proper team behavior and outcomes.

    + Ability to identify, breakdown, and solve ambiguous and complex process and technical problems that span across many teams and organizations.

    + Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and influence partners.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

     

    Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

     

    In this role, you will be responsible for network material forecasting and pricing pipelines. You will have a strong understanding of how network topologies impact cost and material requirements. You will have a process- and metric-driven approach to problem-solving. You will deliver an exceptional customer experience. you will navigate complexity and ambiguity to maintain pipeline operations through constant change.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running.     The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities:

    + Establish and maintain a robust and visible cadence for portfolio reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and resource management, demonstrating measurable improvements and organization-wide impact.

    + Deliver cross-functional projects/programs predictably, ensuring customer value, including managing software programs with large components that manage data, control, and management plane functions for Google's global network.

    + Collaborate with core engineering teams to develop and articulate long-term strategy and short-term plans, creating roadmaps, engaging teams and engineers, and setting the development pace for software systems and infrastructure.

    + Leverage technical acumen to drive project delivery, technology reviews, guide technical proposals, and build consensus across cross-functional teams. Focus on quantitative analysis, translating findings into actionable plans and recommendations.

    + Define project/program success criteria, establish measurable milestones, track deliverables. Measure and optimize to improve project velocity, quality, and efficiency.
