    Minimum qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

    + 5 years of experience in program management.

    + Experience with manufacturing or supply chain operations.

    + Experience in product quality and product development within hardware or consumer electronics (e.g., Phones, Tablets, Laptops, etc.).

    Preferred qualifications:

    + 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

    + Experience with early product life-cycle phases (e.g., concept, definition, early prototypes).

    + Experience analyzing customer insights, feedback, or return data to drive product improvements.

    + Experience using data to identify trends, diagnose issues, and make informed decisions.

    + Knowledge of Quality Planning and Methodologies (e.g., DFMEA, PFMEA, DfX).

    + Excellent investigative skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

     

    The team’s mission is to provide a seamless product experience by assuring the quality of Google's Home and Health products. The team acts as a bridge between customers and product development, leading and driving quality through the entire product life-cycle. The team enables business and ensures positive experiences for users by translating field and customer insights into new quality standards, and by partnering cross-functionally and driving accountability via key metrics.

     

    As a Product Quality Technical Program Manager for Google's Home and Health devices, you will represent the customer within the product organization. You will work with engineering, product management, and support teams to drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement. You will lead and influence the product roadmap and enable the business to provide a seamless and unparalleled user experience.

     

    The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

     

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     Responsibilities:

    + Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.

    + Lead and drive the product quality strategy throughout the entire life-cycle, from early concept to end-of-life.

    + Translate critical customer and field data into insights, and advocate for quality in devices.

    + Identify issues, define key quality metrics, and drive accountability across teams.

    + Impact the business by minimizing returns, improving product health, and shaping next generation of products.
