Job Description** **Certification:
+ Sonographers (medical instrument technicians) must hold an RDMS certificate (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (in abdomen, breast and/or obstetrics & gynecology depending on the services provided).
+ American Heart Association BLS/CPR
Qualifications:
+ The Contractor is expected to provide experienced technologists, that have a minimum of three years of experience in exams performed.
**Hours:** Monday-Friday 7:30-1600
Job Description:
+ A Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Certificate in abdomen, OB/GYN, and/or breast) depending on the services provided.
+ Experience performing ultrasound studies which include, but not limited to: Abdomen and retroperitoneum, small parts, gynecology, male pelvis, obstetrics, vascular imaging
+ Experience performing vascular studies which include, but not limited to: Upper and lower extremity venous, Carotid, ankle brachial index (ABI)/Segmental Pressures, Aorta, Renal Artery, Lower Extremity Arterial, including stents and bypasses.
+ Phillips EPIQ 7 or EPIQ 5 experience preferred
+ Knowledge of digital Imaging and PACS.
**The number of cases expected per day:** 8-15
The exam listings are as follows:
1. Abdominal (GB , Liver, Renal, Pancreas, Spleen, Bladder
and any pelvic pathology).
2. Renal Sonography
3. Renal Artery Doppler – r/o renal artery stenosis*
4. Bladder
5. Abdomen Doppler
6. Aorta
7. Lower Extremity Venous Doppler – r/o DVT.
8. Carotid Doppler
9. Lower Extremity Arterial Limb Studies
10. Pelvic
11. Chest Sonogram
12. Superficial masses
13. Scrotal Sono – r/o mass, torsion, abscess, infection.
14. Lower extremity vein map.
15. Upper extremity vein map.
The VA has the right to refuse any candidate submitted by the contractor.
