Are you interested in sustainable packaging and how EPR regulations affect how businesses operate and achieve their sustainability goals? If so, you could be a great fit for our Sustainability & Regulatory Analysis Internship.
What you’ll do
+ Learn about current and upcoming regulations (EPR) and how businesses decide and engage in advocacy efforts in support of business objectives
+ Market strategy evaluations for lowest environmental impact solution identification based on regulatory analysis research
+ Review and engage with government affairs on upcoming legislative impact on different market segments in consumer goods
+ Communicate the value proposition of products and/or activities that reduce GHG emissions and achieve regulatory compliance
+ Gain practical experience in working with sustainability focused business projects which may include but are not limited to upskilling yourself and colleagues, collaborating with customers, engaging with lifecycle assessments and communication of value propositions
What makes you a good fit
+ An undergraduate student graduating in 2027 or 2028 or a graduate student pursuing a degree in Political Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Packaging Engineering
+ Demonstrated interest through coursework, projects, or personal motivation in environmental impact and sustainability
+ Willingness to learn and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and levels of sustainability expertise
+ Strong communication skills; written and verbal
+ Familiarity with data visualization tools
+ Data analysis expertise with the ability to translate findings into actionable insights
+ Prior experience in government or administrative advocacy is a plus

Additional information
+ This internship is NOT eligible for a housing stipend or relocation support.
+ Henkel’s Summer 2026 internship program starts on May 27th, 2026, and runs through mid-August.
+ Recruitment for our 2026 internships starts in late August 2025 and runs through early March 2026 or until all our positions are filled.

The salary for this role is $27/hour. This is the rate that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
